Cardiff’s changing

The city I’ve lived in, or been associated with for over 40 years is changing, and continues to change. There are so many great websites that follow the progress of the changes; some of which are not always welcome.

I took this trio of images …

All that was left ...

… of the demolished buildings behind the facade of Guildford Crescent, only to find a couple of weeks later that someone from Wales Online had written a story about the status of the project; perhaps he got the idea from me, as I’d posted the photos on both Instagram and Flickr – who knows!

But it’s not just demolition, it’s also about imaginative construction. Below are a couple of images of the University of South Wales and the building opposite …

… I love the use of glass; the developers have also re-introduced trees and shrubbery to the city centre as well.

Then there’s the imaginative titling of businesses …

… and again the use of glass …

… its shots like this, all taken within a couple of hundred meters of each other that help me say, with many others, I Loves the ‘Diff.
