I had a 50mm macro lens for my Sony A700 camera, and even though I purchased the LA-EA4 adaptor so that I could use my A-mount lenses on the A7R FE-mount, I had always put a high-quality prime macro lens at the top of my wish list. When Jenny made a contribution towards it for my Christmas present, it was just a matter of time before I bought it and tried to put it to good use. A series of images from RHS Malvern 2016 are the result. I’m quite please with some of them, especially the one above, but I have a long way to go before I’ve mastered the art of the macro lens together with the other tricks of the trade such as focus-stacking. It’s a great journey to have started on!
