I’m trying, no forcing myself, to get to grips with this thing called macro photography. It’s not easy. Certainly not point and shoot! What do you focus on? How much depth of field do you want? What do you actually focus on, Should you use manual or auto focus? What’s the bokeh (I’m not kidding you – look it up) like? Anyway, here’s an attempt that’s about as good as I was going to get it of some broom, or perhaps it’s gorse, whilst in the Wicklow Mountains on our short trip to Ireland … more later!
