One especially for Shells

Jenny and I went to Hay-on-Wye yesterday, We’d planned on getting out for the day on Thursday as the weather forecast had been predicted to be good. It was, and even though it was cold, the light was good, the skies were blue early on – all we had to do was to decide where to go! Lots of thoughts but in the end we settled on Hay-on-Wye. Returning to Cardiff I suggested going over Gospel Pass, past Hay Bluff, down towards Capel-y-ffin in the Vale of Ewyas, and it was here that we came upon half-a-dozen of these magnificent cattle. They let me get up really close to them and walk right past them – we were parked on the “safe side” of a cattle grid, where Jenny stayed in the car. It was bitterly cold by now – about 4:30 in the afternoon, but I knew I just had to take some shots for Shells, our daughter-in-law, who loves pictures of cows.
