The main trip of 2022 was to be to Scotland (see later posts), so on the way we were able to take up the generous offer of accommodation from our friends Carol and Chris at their holiday-let (see above) in Sandsend on the North Yorkshire coast near Whitby. … and then Staithes. We’d been to Robin Hood’s Bay before, which is a similar kind of fishing port, but Staithes was rather special and we had a lovely day to explore it …
