I’ve been scanning quite a few of my older pre-digital images recently. The image quality doesn’t compare of course – much is lost in the scanning of the negatives. This cropped image suffered quite a lot in the process, but with some judicious post-processing in Lightroom I was able to produce a completely different effect – one that is gentle, loving and whistful. Two sisters in their youth walking together down a leafy lane. I love it, and of course as the title says … “now they’re both mothers.”
