This image marks the day I started taking RAW+JPEG images (I now just shoot using RAW). It also marks the occasion of a dastardly attempt on my life, when one rather clumsy fellow Workshop attendee stepped (or fell) off a rock and nearly pitched me, my tripod and all my gear into the river just below the spot this picture was taken.
In its original form this image had no life – I hadn’t got the contrast and exposure correct in the camera; I was concentrating too much on getting the right Neutral Density filter in place to slow the shutter speed down. Apply a little Lightroom magic and all of a sudden you can see it’s autumn and the light is shining on the river.
