Three more shots from the Light Show at Westonbirt, I’m not sure I like the LED effect, but thought I ought to include one image. Several of the single tree shots are quite effective, like the one below … … and then lighting effects like the one below are just clever.

Some experiments with graduated filters and HDR photography. Three images taken, one +2.0EV, another -2.0EV and then these merged in Lightroom. One problem was that I just couldn’t seem to get the exposure right, which turned out to be that I was using spot metering. Duh!
A U3A Photo Trip to Pontypridd, just up the road from Cardiff, but not somewhere I visit too often. This time with Jen keeping me company as my “minder”. Here are three pictures of the historic bridge designed and built between 1755 and 1756 by William Edwards.
The “lighthouse” in Roath Park – the memorial to Scott of the Antarctic – is a much photographed subject, but I enjoy taking pictures of it whatever the light! Slight bit of lightroom “magic” employed to get the vertical lines right. I didn’t quite get the depth of field right on this one,
