The Kimberley – Day 1

I’ve got enough images now to keep this blog going until the end of the year after a 6-day Photo Workshop in North-west Australia with Tom Putt, but I won’t – I’ll try and be a bit selective whilst posting the best ones to this page in due course.

The one I’ve chosen from Day One (above) is just a little bit symbolic – lots of support , solid, a splash or two, and loads of holes to fall through if I don’t concentrate hard and make the most of the opportunity. It was actually taken before the group of 7 photographers had got together and during a walk I did with one of them, Roger, round the lake opposite the hotel we were staying in. I was happy with it because I’d got the depth of field right and it was sharp in focus from front to back. I was to learn even more about how to do that in the days to come.

I thought I’d also throw this one up. An image I “created” in Lightroom. I do so because Jenny reproduced it as a painting and sent it back to me. I was quite impressed!

Here’s a link to a few more (4) from Day One on Google Photos – they most definitely get a lot better!!!
